I'm gonna parrot my own suggestions besides the usual additional content:

Something I forgot mentioning but another thing I'd like would be for Ann and Yusuke to get a little bump in relevance, they feel like they disappear once Makoto pops up. Some of these suggestions are honestly good, like how far you are in an S. Link affecting certain story scenes. That's something that I actually have brought up in past threads. actually I liked Makoto most until I met Hifumi. The ironic thing is also that I identify with Makoto most as I share most of her character properties. With Yusuke I share this phlegmatic / depressed attitidue and the deep voice / boring speech pattern. By the way, on my second playthrough Makoto was not available for the Hawaii event. I remember I could choose between her and Hifumi on my first playthrough while this time it was only Hifumi (I chose "mysterious"). Maybe last time I chose "smart" as they are both pretty smart.

It's an embarrassment because the thing doesn't even have the balls to tell you outright what is inferred in the game already, that Kamoshida punch-raped Lisa Rise Ann's friend - and mind you, if Ann was an outcast with absentee parents and whore rumors going on about her there was literally NOTHING keeping Kamoshida from just raping Ann. Seriously nothing. Why did he go for the friend instead? There's some implication of self-sacrifice that she's willingly putting herself in her stead but why would he accept that if he thinks he's untouchable? Why wouldn't he just take what he wants like everything else?
Because then one of the main cast of girls would not be a virgin and that's not marketable.
And you see this theme reoccur throughout the game where it tries to be dark and mature but pulls back immediately because "anime". At this point chances are probably zero since Nintendo has been helping funding. Nocturne also undersold on PS2 when Persona mostly succeeded so Atlus will probably just keep Persona on Playstation forever. Hopefully the switch emulator is bug free and can run SMTV when it comes out.

Like the first villain that they encounter in the game is someone who is sexually harassing and blackmailing a female student using her friends as the hook.
Now you in the game are someone who is on a criminal record at the time, Kamoshida is someone who would take advantage of the weakness the situation put in front of him meaning it would require essentially the entire first part of the game to be rewritten to accommodate changing the sex of the main character to avoid her from instantly being pumped full of Kamoshida's penis polywogs in her plump pungent pooper.
You can't just make Kamoshida a girl now either because then what's the deal with Ann and her friend in the situation since ann's awakening is due to Kamoshida as well? It's not like Ryoji had a similar friend in the story that they would simply swap out for the roles.

Too add on, writing an FemC for a new game requires pretty much having 2 versions of all character text from story to social link in the game to accommodate it being said to a boy or a girl and also voice acting lines would have to be reworked.

I'm pretty sure like 90% here that in portable why you can't use every weapon in the game again like in FES is because they'd have to animate them for FemC too (She already lacked half the fusion skill animation which I use as a base for this).
Accommodation needs to be rewritten or designed to have more excuses to be unisex by default which limits story possibility.
People will expect essentially a second OST to go with a girl MC because portable did it, again ignoring that all of that male sides content was already done in another game.

It will depend on the theme. I think P3 had the Greco-Roman pantheon, P4 had the Japanese one and P5 is a mixture of historical and literary figures mostly associated with thievery and cloak & dagger shit that then evolve to mythological tricksters from all over the world.

Don't give me this "it was just edgy fun" garbage. These hacks took a grab bag of severe subject matter and shoved it into a script made to be the most merchandise friendly anime swill they could market. It was absolutely trying to ape the tone of Persona 2 which had outlandish nonsense and anime comedy blended with taboo and severe subject matter for its day (especially with Lisa).
P5 tries to be an inverted P2 but sucks at everything but aesthetic and combat. Why not go all the way? Madoka Magica is highly marketable and got a theatrical film, games, dolls etc. Clearly people can enjoy a grim story, so why not actually handle these themes which are already in the game with the maturity and gravity - thus "dark" tone - they demand? That's because Golden is the final remix version of Persona 4. Golden adds so much to Persona 4 including costumes,extra story, sidequests, more character expansion with two new events, a new dungeon and character that sort of thing.

This is somewhat true they wanted to go back to Persona 2-3 and i do think they did a good job of that. The problem is a lot of the storyline feels like it was made in 2013 with the messege boards and the callback to ANONYMOUS in the story.

Actually i played he Japanese version and i can tell you in the text it does mention it or hint at it. The entire problem is the translation. Let me explain, they had to wait another 6 months to translate more of the storylines and i think they were rushing through some parts and were trying to go for literal translations instead of figurative which causes confusion in the writing. This is not to say they did not try but you can tell there is a few things that are padded and some things that are left out for brevity.
As for Ann i do not know if you know about this or the other anons due but there is a culture of where adults can date students that are 16-18 they call it Jikoushoukai(if i remember it right) where an adult can buy dinner and date students for certain favors but its usually looked down upon in their culture which may explain why they left some stuff out to not get censored or have the adult rating in the US and Japan itself. Its not about marketability its about the ratings system and also to be controversial without being titled as such.
Also i did look up an interview by the way from the writers they recently did mention that they were still writing and did kind of mention that while the game engine was being developed they did not have enough time to expand on the plot by the time the game engine was done so they were rushed on some parts. Which explains why the ending took so long and it felt a bit lengthy than usual rather than explained in side dialogue.
Other than that i think you are being overly dramatic and really downplaying 5 compared to Golden. We still have to wait for Crimson and there is a chance they can add more things in to explain what happened and add side characters.

I didint like Haru, but that is something most if not ALL JRPG's have a problem with is the last character you meet. Tell me how many JRPG's get the last character with a lot of development and the answer is none.
2 while it was a good game you can not deny though that it was really random for a plot honestly.

While i do agree with you on things like Madoka Magica there is a reason why it's not so popular and its really niche in Japan. I do like Gen Urobuchi as much as the next guy but honestly it would turn off their Japanese audience for being too brutal. Unless you are Kentarou with Berserk there is no way you can get away with violent plot lines and that sort of thing. I do agree it could have went further in some instances or explained more in text of the brutality but i think they did not have enough time and also on top of that they may have had to have a fine line between the two. My hope at least is that Persona 6 tries to tie in together the Persona Universe and SMT universe together with YHVH and makes it really gory or at the least tries to add some of it in there for the fans. The chances of them going to Persona 2 are impossible. Its baiscally no different than fans wanting FF7 in FF15 its just not going to happen in this day and age. The best we can hope for is a darker re-imagining of the series.
