Finally tried playing that mother fucker since P2W aspect was removed. Holy fucking shit…the absolute state of modern FPS games.
This piece of shit plays more like an MMO in that it's fully dependant not on your skill but on the level of your character. Gunplay? Non-existant (also there are no iron sights at all). Positioning? Non-existant (most maps are just linear corridors). Tactics? What fucking tactics, just run and gun breh until you get enough points to respawn as a Hero character, from which point forward you have God Mode and just keep dominating the game and make it unplayable for everyone else.
The difference between a level 5 and level 50 trooper is so fucking huge considering unlockable weapons/skills/cards that you need to sink like 50 hours into the game just to stop being absolute cannon fodder.
This game, my friends, was designed to be P2W from the grounds up.

It's a complicated story. Halfchan's /tv/ was relatively good if you go back far enough as indeed most boards where not /b/, /b/ was never good despite what fags tell you. It had declined hard by 2014 but 8/tv/ had a golden age of a year or two where quality was high and discussion detailed. I'd given up on 4/tv/ around about 2012, one of the darkest years of halfchan's history, but I wandered over to our /tv/ when they invited people to watch a GoT stream and shitpost every week. Now over time more and more people started to backseat moderate what the previously hands-off BO was doing up to and including getting cartoons banned off of /tv/ at least temporarily, there was controversy and it was reversed though I've got no idea what's happened since and redirected to /co/ and the aforementioned auto-bumplock feature to the point where the entire board is now just low-effort shitposting because everything else is drowned out. Specifically the tactic they used was creating bad threads on the subject they wanted to ban and then using that as 'evidence' of a problem and I suspect /v/ has seen the same tactic in recent weeks.
Once GoT turned to shit specifically when they were running out of material from the books and swapped to fanficition, Stannis specifically was written terribly and I distinctly remember half the stream dropping out during one particularly poorly written episode that assassinated his character I left entirely again so I can't really tell you what happened after that. There were a few attempts to create alternative boards like /television/ which died during the april hack killing momentum as it was building up steam and /strek/ which was obviously a Star Trek and SF focussed board but none have succeeded.
