GTA Online had the tow truck removed from spawning because the physics were glitchy, getting enough of them and hooking each other up in a circle would cause the game to spaz put and potentially brick consoles.

The controls for kid icarus uprising kills you hand.

744b01 No.14591795

Games that require you to rapidly press button in a row for fights or QTE, as a example. If it's done multiple times, the button weakens and gets unresponsive over time.

There's another thing to mention, it doesn't involve games but rather controllers. If your controller has gotten old, it could be sensitive to vibration feature built in and could easily mess you up in games. As a example, I had my controller emptying and swapping my right and left slots in Dark Souls just from vibration coming from blocking attacks from NPCs. I should look into a new controller or at least turn off vibration in order to play properly.

its a party game that lets casuals feel superior to others.

dashing trumps all other strategies and skills so someone that spent a small amount of time playing it can beat any of their friends so they get the feeling of a payoff. i love watching when people get competetive with this because you dont even have to drive on the road if you dash enough, so its just a bunch of people boosting through the level crashing into walls and cutting corners.

I forget if it's 1 or 2 or both, but Orcs Must Die is rough on the ol' mouse hand. One of the characters' attacks fires as fast as you can click, and has unlimited range, so there's no reason not to just click as fast as you can for an entire level.

i never got into it, but if you honestly think the game is anything more than luck, youre fooling yourself. the "end game" mechanic is dashing, which is so OP the AI on any difficulty become a non issue as soon as youre able to do it a couple times per lap, which any retard can do. but worse, nothing is stopping you from doing it constantly because the speed you gain always outweighs the "loss" of slamming into walls and driving off of the track. so theres not even a risk/reward in this mechanic, its just "more=better"

"end game" multiplayer just amounts to people who can boost more often in a single race.

once you have a small amount of practice it takes to master dashing, and familiarize yourself with the tracks, the game is just a repetative grind with little to no challenge.

youre welcome to explain how this game is actually worth playing though.

Compare this game to shit like Crash Team Racing or Diddy Kong Racing, you'll notice that the skill floor and ceiling are immensely lower in all of the Mario Karts (except maybe DS because Sneaking still requires the minimum amount of practice, Double Dash because the character + kart selection has higher meaning during the duration of a cup and Super Circuit because of how much more knowledgeable about the map you have to be).

The reason why Mario Kart is a good series is all because of the Battle modes and other challenges that you get to do, yet Nu-tendo keeps thinking that roster updates justify annual expenses. Go figure.

Also, CTR's time trials are the best of any game ever.

Though to be fair, old Naughty Dog DID in fact copy a whole lot from Diddy Kong Racing (IIRC one dev claimed they remade some of DKR in their CTR engine just to get the right feel for the speed and jumping) and from the SNES version of Mario Kart (the battle mode is extremely similar), but otherwise it's still the greatest karting game in existence.

I think the absolute worst part of nu-Mario Kart is that they pretty much force you to do that whole tricks gimmick, which is basically CTR's jump boost except the developers want you to do it in specific areas instead of allowing you to perform it off of every jumpable area. Oh, and the Blue Shell not hitting every player in front of you but the very first one, meaning that its only use is to spite the people who can actually play instead of giving you an edge to get back in the game.

I also heard some guys legit defend the "meta" as if proper item usage is enough to justify how little skill you need to play this.

>>14592260

Part of me wants to really like this game but half of the shit going on is really bothersome to listen to. Also, All-Star items are a hit an a miss, but are mostly just a LOLGETBACKINTHIRDPLACE items. You don't need to be good or precise with their use to get back in first. Though, given the choice of playing either MK (barring 64 or Double Dash) I'd play SAR anytime.

And it's a shame too, because Mario Kart Wii has some insane modding communities behind it.

>>14592604

> defend the "meta"

can you blame anyone? if you sunk a significant amount of time/energy into a party game because it had some "meta" mechanic thats as shallow as a puddle, wouldnt you feel the need to defend it?

the meta bullshit in mk is the only thing that separates it from being electronic shutes and ladders. with the meta, its just shutes and ladders where shaking the dice faster guarantees you a better roll. itd be more fun to just play it the casual way rather than being a dice shaking contest.

Crash Bandicoot has been my favorite game ever since it first came out. So when N. Sane Trilogy came out, with Relics in Crash 1 and 2, I played non-stop for about 24 hours. Trying to get the platinum relics in a few particularly hard levels, especially the hardest levels in Crash 1, I ended up tearing a tendon in my upper arm. Gave myself tennis elbow from playing a video game. Couldn't play any video games, or get any sleep, for like two weeks. I got all the Platinum Relics though.

Apparently a third guy was killed 6 years to the day of the first victim, this time stabbed by some spic who was looking for trouble to begin with. Kikepedia don't mention it though and I could only find one secondary source on it, so it may have just been made up.

I was surprised at how much I actually came to like the Ranger games. My poor DS screen.

That game was damn fun.

Fighting friends was also hilarious as we'd only spam that meteor earth spell.

I would probably add DS Guitar Hero to the pile, especially with that one Joe Satriani song.

This is just partly the game's fault but since I am a poorfag in a barren apartment my only desk is my late grandmother's cheap kitchen table from back when my country was a socialist dictatorship.

My mouse arms rests in an uncomfortable position on the edge of that table and playing Path of Exile for several hours non-stop the past recent days made my right arm slightly numb overall with a sharp stinging pain in my hand whenever I grip something.

MH4U and XX have destroyed my 3DS's R, X, and B buttons to the point where presses only register half of the time, and the c-stick is so worn down it can barely be manipulated.

I'd replace it but what the hell is the point at this stage in the system's life cycle.

The PSP's analog stick was total dogshit, but playing Ace Combat X intensely on it caused my stick to permanently drift because of the strong movements I had to pull off with the thing.

I used to emulate the Megaman Zero games as they came out. I sacrificed 2 logitech pc joypads to them, they both had some unresponsive keys by the end.

Pokemon Dash, also for the DS.

It requires constant swipping, constant fast swipping. You will scratch the screen with the constant repetitive movement.
