Because I nearly got to the very end of the game when I was a wee lad, but I lost the cartridge. I just want to finish the game myself.

I got near there when I was a kid too, all the way to the cardboard boss in fact(without beating it), then recently I decided to 101% the game on the N64, which I did, with much difficulty

I admittedly wasn't able to find relatively few bananas or golden bananas or two of the battle pads without using a guide to find em

there is one glitchy part though; chunky kong has a banana balloon in level 4 that flies in the distance, visible from a floating platform on the water, but it might be invisible until you swim towards the sunken ship in that sub-section of the area(towards the edge of the map), then look up where the balloon is supposed to be

be sure to talk to the fairy queen after you get all the fairies for tiny's 6th DK isles banana and the good ending

You're better off just replaying the entire game. It's not as bad if you pace yourself so you don't get burnt out collecting everything. Definitely worth getting to the end, that final boss fight is top-tier quality. Utilizes everything you've done with every character and wraps it all into one massive battle. Rest of the game suffers from padding and adding too much, but the good parts are all mixed into kicking K Rool's ass.
