Ever since they removed flash sales; the only time where you get the really good deals that made it worthwhile, it's been nothing but overwhelming and the same shit as waiting for a weekly sale. Not to mention all of the region locking of games and you can't even trade with russians for a cheaper version of the game. I got New Vegas GOTY for fucking 1 CS:GO key during this period. No, steam hasn't had a good sale in a very long time. I have 30+ games on my wishlist, most of which have been sitting there for over a year and everytime I get a notification of a sale, its something low like 25% of a 20$ game or 50% of a 60$ game.
So pirate everything and if you like the devs and the game is good buy it to support them.

Good uncucked devs deserve money, but you also deserve to have at least some marginal ownership of your digital goods. If there's an alternative, buy DRM-Free games instead of a "right of use a game via our platform" that could be revoked anytime.
