Apparently they already delayed release twice but the publishers wouldn't let them do it a third time, so here we are. They had planned a bunch more shit like proper horse armor, crossbows, a smithing activity where you could make your own swords, a dog companion, and some other shit probably. But none of that made the final cut. Hopefully since the game has done so well even among normalfags they'll be able to flesh out their ideas better in the sequel. IIRC it's supposed to be a trilogy.

Unless fighting 1-on-1, I disabled the lock on (I think you disable it by holding shift?). Stabbing enemies in the head usually leads to instakill, so I exploited that fact to kill almost anyone with a single stab in late game, regardless of enemy numbers. If you're good with a bow, it's even easier.
I hope they learn from this in the sequel and make the combat more of a challenge. I liked how it was in early game, where encountering any enemy carried a significant risk of dying, and wish it translated into late game as well. Also hope they make the AI smarter so that it can handle the player going backwards.

I have to wonder if they're actually going to improve the performance eventually or it was all just a lie. The more features they add into the game, the harder it is to optimize later on. All they've been doing in the updates is fixing bugs (mostly gameplay bugs, like quest bugs) and adding features, but they're not making the game run any better.
Maybe they're thinking of making the game more "appealing" at first during the first months of the game's life by adding a bunch of features since optimization isn't as appealing as beards?

Combat is a lot harder in 1.4 especially because you can no longer land free hits without locking on to enemies. They also upgraded the enemy archers making them much more effective in harassing or even straight out killing you, which complicates things a lot when you're doing a 1v3 or more. And also because the random ambush events now scale to your level and you can easily encounter two very skilled, very well geared bandits in full plate at certain locations.

That is correct and will add to the confusion about jews in the game:
The Rožmberk build their castle in 1225, in 1250 the surronding place was known for its jewish community (mostly because it was on the major trade route between Krumlau (Bohemia) and Linz (Austria) and the family Rosenberg was later mostly famous for forging documents.
Also the Miller Simon in Sasau has jewish vibes.
