Yeah, that's exactly what's going to happen. These little faggots get 20 years on them, and they expect everyone to want to have a "kid" sidekick so that players who they assume have had children by this point will identify more with the character. It'll be a "passing of the torch" moment that I'm sure they intend to be heartwarming, but will be so badly written, overproduced, and hackneyed that it'll just end up being a slap in the face to anyone who just wants to play a God of War game.
Hence the increased focus on the story, not because anybody asked for that shit, but because they need it to set up the framework for their "emotional payoff".

The game was a bit of a dissapointment since the first chapter gives you a false impression of what the game is actually about.
My first 3-5 hour with the game made me think that the game would be a Terraria clone but in 3D with a sparce but serviceable combat system. Instead I got a game that, although fun to fuck around with and play through once, was extremely barebones in every mechanic that it presented to the player.

The save a family from Pompei is the biggest stretch on my part though. See, the guy he saved from Pompei was played by Peter Capaldi. Now, Russel T. Davies went on to make Torchwood for Starz or something, and in Torchwood we had sequence of events where a bunch of Aliens take over the planet because they want children. These aliens get high of kids dreams or something. Ultimitaly, in the face of a seeemingly unstopable calamity, with the British Government deciding to send poor kids to the aliens in a fine act of Vichying, the situation gets resolved with a remarkably low body count. But among the casualties are a government man and his family, since the government decided that HIS daughters would be sacrificed to the aliens so the poor people wouldn't murder all of them. That worker went home, shot his wife and kids, then killed himself. That worker was played by Peter Capaldi. So My headcannon is that Time was pissed off when the Doctor saved people who should have been coverd in lava, and brought about a similar situation where only the man with the face that escaped Pompei and his family died to "balance the scales" so to speak.
Like I said, I don't know if that's what the writers intended, but in my mind that's what happened dammit. The thing is, I'm not even upset that the Doctor now has tits and a vag. I always just use my pocket knife as a wedge to break the vacuum seal. They're deceptively easy to open after that, to the point you have to be careful not to over-torque it and spill the contents. The only other lids that have ever given me trouble are lids to things with fruit juice or raw honey jars or have other sugary substances in them which get between the threads and glue it shut. Though that's as simple as just running the lid under hot water for a few seconds.
If I've ever had to use an easy opener lever, I can't remember the last time.

The sacrifice ceremony would vary depending on the god the sacrifice was to and occasion it was for. It wasn't always hearts, in fact most of the time it wouldn't even be people being sacrificed: Ritual bloodletting, the sacrifice of animals, offerings of food and other inanimate oobjects was far more common. Outright human sacrifice in Mesoamerican cultures, like most ancient cultures, was relatively rare: Somewhat more common then in ancient greece, mesopotamia, egypt, etc, but not nearly as much as you'd think. The Aztecs (the mexica specifically, more on that later) in particular, however, DID practice it at a much larger scale then other mesoamerrican cultures, but even then the vast majority of them would have been prisoners of war, and still not at the absurd "thousands to tens of thousands sacrificed in a few days" numbers you see in popular culture.
Off the top of my head, I know heart extraction was done in certain ceremonies to Huitzilopotchli, who was the patron god of the Mexica (The Mexica being the specific nahua subgroup that founded tenochtitlan, and tenochtitlan, along with two other citiies that were founded by different nahua people, were the 3 ruling cities of the Aztec empire. When most people say "Aztecs", though, they generally mean the Mexica or the Mexica as an example of Nahua cultures in general), aloong with one to Tezcatlipoca. Another key thing to note is that in most cases where people were being sacrificed, they, or their remains, was seen to be a literal incarnation of the god they were being sacrificed to. For example, for the weeks prior to being sacrificed, the victim to Tezcatlipoca WAS seen as Tezcatlipoca, and basically went around the city being revered and eating good food and drink. Him being sacrificed was symbolically represenative of Tezcatlipoca tthe god dying and being reborn (cycles are a big part of most mesoamerican religion).
Aztec Thought and Culture is a great book for understanding Aztec philsophy and religion, if you want to check that out. I also have a random assortment of other books on Mesoamerica and andean cultures I've been reccomended or think look cool here: https://pastebin.com/89Ksp3Ea (unforantely, most don't note if it was added because I've been told it's good vs if it's just something I thought seemed neatt). In particular, Ancient American Poets and Stories in Red and Black also focus a lot on Mesoamerican worldviews and such. There's also a variety of writings by actual native scribes and poets, or by their direct decedents, but a lot have never been translated into english. If you want me to clarify on this/give more info on those, let me know.

This is partially the result of the Spanish, actually: they basically wrote down shit spelled how it sounded to them as Spanish (and this is 500 year old Spanish, remember) speakers from 5 when they didn't understand Nahuatl that well, which then gets translated/fucked up further into English. A lot of Nahuatl sounds just don't exist in english, as well: Sort of like how there's no "R" or "L" in japanese, and instead they have one sound that's between the two.

You are thiinking of Tlazolteotl, who was a goddess of sexual degeneracy, filth; but also purification and cleanliness, and was also associated with midwifes and the protection and women and childern during birth. In addition to cycles, Aztec religion and philosophy was big on duality. So while she's a goddess of both physical and spiritual (and excretory, as you note) filth, she's also associated with spiritual and physical cleanliness as well.
