It's likely that Mangina Divided was supposed to be like Mass Effect 2, a sequel in a trilogy that ends up being shorter than normal as to not upstage the third game.

I'm amazed how few anons know about this one. It feels rushed because it was two games and the second got cancelled. Remember the point where he just basically teleports to the frozen north and does some other bullshit then comes back to mecha holocaust in area 1?

Those were two separate games, thats why it feels disjointed. SE wanted it to be a 'gaming cinematic universe' but when the 'muh mechanical apartheid' stuff had its core audience wondering if it was more sjw tat they panicked since sales mean more in the east than looking like a good ally like the fearful western devs.

So all in all 3 games were cancelled and just over half of one made it into the final build.

Its basically HL2 but it stops at ravenholm then jumps into a gutted blend of Ep1 and 2 with an ending thats the opening for a spin off game that became a cg short film.

Its a mess.

Well then they fucked it up. The DX/V:tm mini-sandbox/rpg formula is pretty great. I'm surprised how few devs mimic it.

nu-DX (like Dishonored) messed up with its overt sjw posturing–but also by forcing too much stealth/passive play if you wanted to stay in character. i,e, most of your enemies aren't deserving of death which stops you from enjoying any action/gunplay.
