This isn't a suggestion for a game you can play while alt-tabbing, but if you have the freedom to alt-tab every once in a while, I suggest getting into a game called Chess Evolved Online. You can't alt-tab play it because it's an online multiplayer game and you don't want to leave a human opponent hanging, but what you can do is claim login rewards to build your collection, since it's basically a CCG with chess pieces instead of cards. While most games with login rewards only give them to you once a day, CEO has a button that goes on a timer. Press button, receive free shit. And the timer is random, but is never longer than 55 minutes, sometimes as short as 5 minutes. So every once in a while just alt-tab to it and press the button and you'll have a much stronger collection of pieces than you would have otherwise.

Practically any turn-based game will work for alt-tabbing purposes. I suggest Slay The Spire, that's been pretty fun for me personally at least. You can also play Saltybet, although that's not exactly a game per se.
