Allow me to elaborate further. I wish there was a game where you're locked into an arena/maze with waves after waves of demons flooding at you. And it continues to get progressively difficult as you're tasked with finding the boss and defeating it before it gets too difficult, while also using the incoming waves to get stronger so you're able to battle the boss. In-between stages or bosses you're able to customize abilities, powers, loadout, etc, with each boss giving you a new ability MegaMan-esque style. Each boss would have unique enemies and stage elements too.
Beelzebub - Sends swarms of flies after you while having to fight on ground that is literally shit.
Leviathan - His stage is literally inside his stomach as you have find your way around and cut up sections of his insides to defeat him.
Legion - Constantly switches from hiding inside minions' bodies, you need to destroy every last piece of him in order complete the stage
And maybe it'd be a good idea to have the playable characters be the Archangels, Gabriel, Michael, and Raphael.
