I do believe that they really just propped the game up for higher resolutions and such after all the shit they got for Siege of Dragondildo. Avellone also was asked to keep an eye of them, IIRC:

They didn't even do that, you can see the artifacts of their so called "remaster" of them just upscaling the image and making it slightly opaque. There is no reason to play the remaster since it doesn't actually do anything. Before anyone comes in and brings up other remasters that didn't do anything I mean they didn't do anything, at all, nothing. Not even just making a brand spanking new and compatible engine and calling it a day.

Only thing I noticed was some higher resolutions. Not a pain to get running, and the UI is easier on the eye.

Other than that, it's the same game.

They didn't change anything plot-wise with this edition, all they did was slap on fan mods and charge money for it.

They didn't do anything really with the script except add some lines of dialogue.

Beamdog seems to have learned from their mistakes and now the enhanced edition is objectively the best way to play the game.

Anyone who says otherwise is trolling or baiting.

Because they didn't change the actual size of the assets it's actually smaller then it's supposed to be what you see excluding the UI and text when playing at higher resolutions.
