Yeah but it's like a 2D side scroller like the classic games. Nothing wrong with that but I'd like another 3D game. The systems in Shinobi and Nightshade were great, they just needed some more refinement. Instead we get a multitude of garbage Sonic games over the past 15 years.

I don't mind Paradise Lost, but that is the extreme exception. The norm of games needing to be modernized and ruined for various reasons has gotten to the point where they're going back and fucking with the classics. Even the dead can't know peace from this evil.

Sadly the original dev team that made the games is frequently dead and gone and you have some shit-tier moneygrubbing studio "remake" it with crappy patches, hideous balancing, and unplayable expansions. AoM remake was literally made by con artists who thought that making the game buggier was a clever way to give themselves room to release "fixes" and drive up sales while simultaneously exerting minimal effort. The shit was fucking obvious and everyone hated those cunts, and the sad thing is they're not the only ones. These days I'd rather people let the old games lie or just re-release them with a simple compatibility fix instead of this fucking bullshit where they milk a corpse for money by ruining it.
