I'm not saying the next servers should ban lava blocks and lighters but, the next servers should ban lava blocks and lighters. You should have already learned from the first time; we even had a parcel protection mod and this shit circumvented it real bad.

The problem with MInetest is that Minetest is basically Indev of Minecraft… and they expect you to build everything else. And most people just don't feel like going through with doing that. The fact that they give you the source code to build an entire fucking game with the framework is GREAT, absolutely awesome… But there should have been an official distribution of the rest of the Minecraft-like elements, including animals, enemies, etc. Something for people to use to go by, instead of trying to create these things yourself.

this is why I gave up on trying to mod minetest, you have to reinvent the wheel with everything in order to create a similar experience to minecraft

and god help you if you want to recreate a favorite mod with the lua API, fucking christ

I want winter to be over so I actually have time to work on fixing minecraft's source code, you would be amazed at how much better version 1.2.x up to 1.5.x runs packed with mods compared to 1.6.x and up.

Last thing I had time to work on was implementing a block spawn list, so that there's a native functionality to make a block harvested spawn a different block, for example: if a stone block is next to lava, it has a chance of spawning a lava source instead of just dropping cobblestone, but winter is eating up all my time with shit breaking and snow and ice every few days.

I also have a server waiting to run my modified minecraft source, but I don't have enough done to warrant running it.

Didn't post last night but I made it so that you can chain telekinesis without it getting stuck on the first node like diefugger suggested.
