Are there any games that capture the feeling of this image?

I played Outpost a lot when I was a kid, but I'm looking for something more modern. I don't want to play Civilization: Beyond Earth because I don't like the hex grid.

I guess what I'm looking for is something like Cities: Skylines, but set in space. Does that exist?

Something like this hits the spot?

Wow!! Planetbase and Surviving Mars look really cool. Out of the two of them, looks like only Planetbase is available right now. Do you personally recommend it? I love the way it looks, but I see mixed reviews on Steam.

Thanks for the help by the way

Play it for two hours and you've seen and done everything. Would not recommend.

It's probably overpriced for what it is, but I'm curious, is there anything comparable that's better?

Offworld Trading Company has a similar aesthetic

can confirm. planetbase is a cool idea but really, once you've got the colony's basic needs met that game is over and it's a matter of just kinda fucking around until you start a new one

It's incredible, almost all civ/city builders based on the future have horrible reviews. Anno series, planetbase etc.

What a loss, Pharaoh, Zeus, Anno 1404, 1700, Cities Skylines, so much good games of the genre, and not a single one with the same quality.

What about survival games based on future / space?I'm planning to buy this one, is it good?

Not really. It's a walking sim with some very very light survival aspects.

Anno 2070 is pretty good
