Alpha savage wood elves are the fucking best elves. In a D&D 5e campaign (we were trying out the system when it was new, don't worry we all agreed it was lackluster), one of our regular players made an ultra savage hunter-gatherer wood elf with less than 6 CHA. His favorite hobbies include skinning anything that makes a good pelt, covering his naked body in mud to avoid detection, and throwing ridiculous amounts of spears at high precision. Our "civilized" characters told him that he can't just kill everyone he doesn't like, so his way of following that rule was announcing to anyone we were about to fight that they can surrender now, or he will hunt down and kill every single one of them. You can imagine what usually ended up happening. His excuse for any savagery that we found distasteful is always "I gave them a chance to surrender."

Then WoW added the crack addicts to the Horde because of meta reasons. Then WoW got rid of their crack addiction.

Then WoW added the old dead elves to the Alliance, but didn't let players actually play as them for meta reasons. These elves hate the not-crack addicts because they're in the Horde.

Then WoW retconned the destruction of the tree fuckers' original capitol city and added super crack addicts as allies/villains, whose leader is trying to let the Burning Legion win so she can keep her immortality. Also the same expansion cured the super crack addicts of their super crack addiction.

And in a few months, the super crack addicts will join the Horde because ??? and a new group of ultra crack addicts will break off from the original crack addicts to join the Alliance because ???

The fate of the Blood Elves was implicitly that they'd been wiped out in Warcraft 3: Reign of Chaos because the undead faction hellbent on killing everything doesn't take prisoners or show mercy. The expansion, The Frozen Throne, revealed that a small portion of them somehow survived the Scourge's onslaught. How this happened was left unexplained until their reintroduction in WoW, where it was revealed that Arthas didn't even want to bother with them beyond using the Sunwell, cut a clean path through Quel'thelas, and left after resurrecting Kel'thuzad. It's fucking retarded that any of this is true and frankly they were all better off dead.

And yes, I am fully aware that there are multiple races of elves. You would realize that if you thought about what I typed for even two seconds instead of firing off immediately after every sentence.

Even if I hadn't played the game, which I fucking did, all of this information is easily found with a Google search. I don't have to play the game to know how shit Warcraft 3's plot is.
