Even if there isn't proof at this moment, does that matter in this context? Things like machine learning together with big data are fields that are heavily invested in by advertisers. Companies spend millions of dollars on AI research for marketing purposes to get people to buy their products. This is something that's already happening and has been happening for that past several years.
