There's a ton of talk about me being incompetent since I don't delete some video game thread or because I bitch and whine sometimes. But the team does what needs to be done, I don't wanna be some kind of invisibro tier hotpocket who does nothing at all, but at the same time I don't wanna be like imkamfy or Acidman who bans people at the slightest notion of being a shill.

The reason why I allow VNs and don't delete Mobile threads is for consistency, I don't like these games personally. However I know that they're video games and despite my distaste for gachashit, they must be allowed on the board.

As for the Nintendo shit, let's be honest here. Nintendo threads get a fuckton of fanboys who are rejects from cuckchan who just wanna shit up those threads, just because cuckchan is filled with a fuckton of Nintendrones. I do admit I like Nintendo games, however I'll also admit that Treehouse is fucking cancer. the Switch needs another year before it hits its prime, Zelda is fucking shit, Pokemon needs a much better post game, an actual challenge mode, and a way to catch all of the pokemon without having two fucking versions, Miyamoto is fucking cancer and should just fucking retire, same with Sakurai, Aonuma, Sakamoto and most of Nintendo's old top brass. At this point I'm more of a SEGA fanboy than anything else.

With that said the reason I'm so strict with console wars is because that shit is one of the things that made cuckchan so bad. I don't care if you call the Switch a piece of shit, the PS4 a lackluster PC, or Valve a bunch of incompetent fools. However you and I know when it comes to a certain point that some cuckchan tier anons just get obnoxious about these things.

Rule 8 is to combat people who shit up threads, off topic posting and overall cancer in general. There have been people who try to derail threads with political shit, console war faggotry, off topic shitposting and the like. I use Rule 8 to combat these things, perhaps some of Rule 8's bans apply to Rule 4 or Rule 1. But there's usually a good reason for it.

Political shit is allowed, however not in threads that aren't political. That should be obvious, like I can kinda understand that with Wolf 2 Bethesda brought it on themselves, there was no saving those threads since Bethesda themselves were trying to bitch about muh alt right instead of actually talking about the game, and they paid the price because of it. I doubt we'll be able to save the Far Cry 5 threads either.

4am and most LOL threads are straight up bumplocked since they're no longer video games, the reason why we don't delete them outright is because people will start spamming the board and revolting. So a better alternative is to just let them have their thread that I agreed to letting them have three years ago.

So yeah, let me know if I missed anything. I'll bitch and whine sometimes, but I learned not to ban someone if they're a shill, mainly because anyone can be a shill and throwing a panic over nothing just leads to another gghq situation. It's best to treat these things individually rather than going on a panic rampage.

This is something I don't get, not enough people here feel like they should bother putting in effort if the other person doesn't either. I don't report video game threads I don't like. I report /pol/ derailing, GG outside its containment, and low-effort one line OPs like "what's the x of video games." I used to make reports numerous times a day. I don't bother anymore because the vast majority were ignored and I'm not into wasting my time trying to do the vols' job for them.

A lot of the times I see these threads when they're already over the cliff, people aren't reporting the shit/bait soon enough. At that point I would have to delete 90% of the thread so I just bumplock instead.
