Looking at AH2 footage, I barely recognise the game. AH3 is intensely vertical, massive launchers are the norm and you're constantly zipping back and forth across the screen. Maybe I'm just watching some bad footage, I dunno.

An absolute must is the Widescreen Fixer. the FOV in this game is vomit inducing. It's the only real complaint I have with the game. Combat feels a thousand times better with a proper FOV.

It's pretty good honestly.
Basically its an rts where you work your way across a map taking enemy positions. You don't build any buildings instead you gain points over time you can spend on units. The further you make it through the map the more there is available.
You might think 'no basebuilding or resource management?' but the focus of the game is 100% on leading your units and using tactics which has a lot of depth. Each individual infantryman has their own inventory with weapons, different types of grenades, and ammo. They can be made to crouch or go prone, throw grenades manually, or render medical assistance to another soldier. Mortars, cannons, and tanks of all kinds are available as well with the same level of control.
Finally, although it feels a little cheesy, you can take manual control of any unit of the game at any time like the game is an overhead shooter. This is most useful in taking control of one of your tanks to shoot at a particular target or whatever.
Graphics are pretty good but won't blow your mind or anything. Sound is good. Destructibility of the environment is great and the map will look completely different by the end of mission.

Fallout 4 is worth about $5 dollars.
However I wouldn't buy the game ever just so hopefully Todd and Pete Hines get the message that the changes they have made to their games in term of design haven't done much to improve those games, and maybe by the time the next Elder Scrolls comes out it will at least be usable as a waifu creator because if they're games get any worse than they are no it won't be.

Starbound was trash. So boring. I think you need a friend to play it with to get anything out of it. Terraria is pretty good and of the same concept. Much better with a friend but probably enjoyable if you don't let yourself get bored too quickly.
