I enjoy this game quite a bit. I have survived well over 150 days and at that point a blood moon will take out everything if you are not ready with enough archers to block out the moon and later the sun because the attack keeps coming.

When you start a new game a character is created for you. So if you do not want to be a Black kang you can press the one button the game uses to generate a new character as soon as your character appears before the screen fades in to the game. Also Kingdom new lands is much easier than the original. It is easy to become too powerful before traveling to the next area.

It's really really limited in every regard. Being limited to sidescroller view while building up what amounts to a small town is pretty annoying and as time progresses you are forced to chase deer to your base and wait for coin spawns to get anywhere.

It's not satisfying at all.

The game is a fine little time sink. Sounds like you could not be bothered to expand, add farmers and save $. You would probably like newlands if the simplicity and lack of money was the issue it is much easier and has some other added gimmicks.
