Drinking it as I type this, a solid pick that you can drink almost any day. Almost barrel-proof (110), but with a rich, mild body (oak, vanilla, and blackberry? I dunno, some kind of berry) that makes it easy to drink. Strong cherry nose leaves it generally fruity on the palate. Definitely buy if you have any positive experience with the Wild Turkey distillery.

Some folks weren't a fan Old Forester's most recent run, but I picked up the 1920 just the other day and I'm a big fan. After I finish this glass of the Russel's, I'll probably move to it: it's even stronger (to meme it up as a "prohibition" drink), and definitely packs a punch, but it's a lot deeper than just a high ABV. Predominately smoky and nutty with what tastes like a significant amount of rye in the mash, but rounded out by a fruity finish which is complemented by its nose.

This one is a rye (obviously) and also from a relatively small Chicago distillery, so who knows what the distribution situation is like, but I'd recommend it if you like ryes as much as I do. I'm pretty sure they put some corn in the mash, which mellows out an otherwise very sharp, nutty flavor; makes a killer manhattan.

Shifting gears to an Irish whiskey if you're into that, this one's my all-time favorite within that category. Caramel and honey flavors mixed with a bit of vanilla, plus a smoky nose to balance it out. Nectar of the gods tbh.
