I don't think it will be any good. RDR was just GTA IV with horses and the story and soundtrack were terrible. No game really nails that western/spaghetti western atmosphere. Listen to this song, this is the kind of stuf that I think of when I think of westerns, that off the wall vibe that many of them had, but games are always serious business, maybe except for parts of Revolver and GUN.

I have no hope for it, and I enjoyed the previous Red Dead games. GTA5 was such a massive letdown for something i already wasn't expecting a lot out of and rockstar got hailed as gods for what was still a very mediocre game. So now they can make RDR2 with a lowered bar that the casuals will eat up. I expected a bloated overworld with nothing to really do in it, downgraded shooting from their previous titles, and micro transactions out the fucking ass and maybe even a degree of streamer bait

After GTA V, or more specifically the online, there's absolutely no way in hell I will ever fucking buy another kikestar game ever again. If it somehow impossibly manages to maintain the quality of the first game then I might pirate it but fuck them. Reminder: Take Two will put microtransactions and DLC into every future game they will release because of retards buying shark cards in GTAV.

This game likely won't be too politicized, but will very likely demonstrate a very incorrect depiction of the west at this point in time. Gameplay wise, it will likely be solid. I think the issue will be with the multiplayer, which will likely be the exact same as GTA V and include micro transactions. We'll probably get no SP add-on's too, which grinds my gears. Rockstar really has lost most of the senior staff, which could be troubling depending on how they replace them. I'm not expecting a 10/10 killer app and I think nobody should. The game should really not be Redemption 2 though, and should try to create a new plot instead of being dependent on the previous game. GTA V really shows the lack of creativity from Rockstar nowadays with their characters and plots, with Michael being generic white old guy, Trevor being a decent character, and Franklin being an unlikable CJ copy.

Probably gonna be fantastic. Rockstar are masters at making open world games. Gta 5 also made them around 85,000,000 dollars. No way the budget or polish is gonna lack in Rdr 2.

So many nay-sayers in here. Considering Rockstar made a fuckton of money of GTA 5 and the fact they've had about half a decade to make this, I feel it will be fantastic. Multiplayer and single player will get a somewhat even amount of attention, maybe multiplayer a bit more. I'm positive it will be a great story and an ok multiplayer. Rockstar most likely learned from the GTA 5 multiplayer mistakes. Let's just hope it goes well.

The main tagline for Redemption was "The Wild West is Dying". It being absurdly late was the whole point. RDR2 will probably be in the 1870-1890's so they can have a decent amount of funs; a AAA game wouldnt dare having just muzzleloaders and cap-and-ball revolvers.

Redemption didn't need a sequel/prequel/whatever. The only reason Kikestar is making this a prequel is so they can establish a new franchise since they're essentially a one trick pony right now.

For the people screaming about Revolver, I encourage you to revisit it or even play it. That game fucking sucked.

Well in terms of singleplayer, Rockstar is pretty competent when it comes to making the singleplayer of video games, you might not have liked GTA 5's singleplayer but it was just competent enough to hit a sweetspot with a majority of gamers.
