OP, I don't know you, I really do think you need some nostalgia vision for these games. I didn't play them when they came out, and I love the genre, but I couldn't enjoy it. It's slow, mediocre music and ugly graphics. I tried to play it a couple of times but couldn't get into it, played diablo 2 after and fucking loved it, music is excellent, graphics are nice, and gameplay is comfy. Skip ahead a few years and play diablo 2 is my recommondation. I have nostalgia vision for Diablo 2 though, I have it on cd, best box cover art

Anyway, OP, if you're either underage or have the attention span of a fruit fly like every poster in this thread so far. Don't bother.

Otherwise, keep in mind INT is the god stat, you want high AGI to get plenty of action points for combat, and CHR is a dump stat so leave it at 2. Concerning skills, speech is stupid good. If you want a ranged character, start with small guns and then branch out to either heavy weapons or energy weapons later in the game. Fast shot is fantastic if you like automatic weapons, but avoid it like the plague otherwise, losing the ability to do aimed shots with semi-automatic weapons hurts. Unarmed and melee are both viable but the early game will be tougher. Last, but not least: The gifted trait is OP, get it if you wanna breeze through the game, otherwise avoid.

You might want to consider tagging a utility skill like lockpicking instead of first-aid. Though if you really want to tag first-aid, I'd suggest tagging doctor instead. It also heals you for a small amount, but most importantly, you can heal crippled limbs with it. Which isn't normally doable without finding doctor's bags or seeing a doctor yourself. Looking good otherwise. Don't worry if you already went ahead and started the game though, your build is definitely viable.

Oh right, I forgot. Good natured is only really a useful trait if you're going to be playing a pacifist character. The lowered starting stats in combination with gifted can be kind of a pain if you're going to find yourself in combat situations a lot.

There's a certain pistol that is loud The .223 unique pistol. It's a satisfyingly loud boom but you might want to turn it down slightly to reduce risk of blowing out your speaker or eardrums. Fallout1 is shorter vs 2, there's more stuff in 2 but the story and atmosphere is more cohesive in 1.

I assume that you mean the restoration patch. It is better that you play the game first without the restoration patch.

Apparently Fallout Fixt is incompatible with base game's saves. Looks like I'll have to stick to vanilla for the first playthrough.
