God damn it I need a good controller to use with my PC. I used to use Afterglow controllers and Rockcandy controllers but because they're cheap shit the bumpers on them wear out within a couple of games. So I got an xbone controller, and while the buttons on it are great and they don't seem to be wearing down, the microUSB port on it is a piece of complete shit and I have to wiggle it every fucking way in order for it to get a solid connection which means it constantly disconnects.

What is a good pad with a hard wire that doesn't cost 60 fucking dollars like all current gen console controllers?

You don't think 60 dollars is a bit excessive for a controller that will work? I know the mainline console controllers are good, but I want something hardwired and everything that I've seen in the last 5 years that has been Playstation/Xbox brand has been wireless with a microUSB connection.

i use a DS4 as well, and it's only wireless if you get a special dongle for it. otherwise you can just plug in the microUSB cord the controller came with and you're good to go. no extra investment on my side since i'm a sonygger and owned one already. you can also just use a ds3 controller as well, you could probably find one at a thrift shop for cheap

I've been looking for a gamepad recently, but the only recommendations that anyone ever has are "get the F310, it's the only good one out there" or "don't get the F310, it's shit, all controllers are shit". Does anyone have any real advice?

Well I guess the only options I can think of with all the advice I've been given is to get the f310 or default on my final solution of buying a wired 360 controller. I know they work fine, but it just feels dicey buying a controller that is that old.

Cheapest thing you could get would be a cheap bluetooth adapter off amazon and a DS3. The adapter I got was like 7 bucks on amazon and works great with a DS4 so imagine a DS3 would work just as well. Also wireless equals supreme comfort.
