Bloat mostly. Years ago, code was far more optimized. Assembly was still remembered. We were free of useless meme languages (haskell, rust, javascript, ""webdev"", go, etc). Summed to this, the devs were free of being taught in increasingly pussified and SJW-ized environments: coding is a lone task, which means that they cannot code as well in (((open offices))) where there's noise and endless pesters.
