What are some good software applications that do not require the internet to function? I think tech users should fight against the notion that you should constantly be connected to the internet. In order to combat surveillance, you must support non-networked computing as well as sneakernet measures.
My personal favorite software that does not require any internet functionality after first install and minor configurations include the following:
>Kiwix - full non-networked Wikipedia as well as Project Gutenberg and other creative commons initiatives
>Video games, particularly roguelikes that allow for great replayability. Two in particular I enjoy are Nethack and Dungeon Crawl Stone Soup
>Krita, GIMP, other artistic tools
