Seems to be ok, I hope you can build you private torrent network easily.

But if this software begins to get traction it will die since IPs aren't obfuscated. This on Gnunet would be ideal I think.

it's been around for a few years now and has managed to escape getting shut down somehow. they also try to warn users about watching things without a vpn but I doubt people care enough to listen

It doesn't prevent seeding. It just makes it difficult. eg if you kill it after it's done downloading, it deletes all the metadata, so you can't restart it again. This can be configured, but it isn't the default.

Well by default it only seed if you don't close the terminal and will automatically seed til 1 ratio only. You have to manually link the torrent and files by hand if you want to seed afterwards.

I personally use it like wget it's quite fast and convenient (no messy folders and configs). But If you truly want to share, you can import it to a more functional client like transmission since it keeps the .torrent files in the same directory as your content.
