The future is Capabilities. With new operating systems such as Google’s Fuchsia OS and seL4-based systems such as Genode all adopting this form of security, it is clear that the age of Ambient Authority is dying.

But what does this mean from our point of view? When we are administering our systems, how will this look? A world with no Access Control Lists will be a strange one indeed..

Sure, just like how "sandboxed multithreaded software would eliminate security risks". It's not going to make much of a dent in the long-term. Secure systems exist because bugs are closed and access is restricted; how you do that is irrelevant.
