>just utterly sick to my stomach for losing 13+ BTC.

>I have now lost my entire life savings.

>Please don’t completely bankrupt me.

>Worst day of my life. No idea what I’m going to do.

>I’m praying the culprits have half a heart to return some of it...

>Please, I’m begging you, whoever you are.

I am laughing hard

Some idiot put his life saving (100 000$+) into bitcoins and got hacked. Now he's crying and begging to have his coins returned

This is how coiners end...

How can bitcoin replace cash or banks if someone can just steal all your coins from your PC? The guy was stupid, but so are most people. How do you expect them to use cryptocoins?

Bitcoin won't be used by ordinary people, it will die. Bitcoin is huge bubble

How is it a scam when this could have happened with cash or gold he had under his bed?

People simply are not ready for cryptocurrencies yet. Fuck, the guy apparently was not as careless as your average normalfag and he still lost all of his money, so imagine if your grandmother had to take care of her Bitcoins. As much as cryptocurrency fans would hate the idea, what we need is cryptobanks that can safely keep the coins in their system. People WILL lose their private keys, in unfortunate or really stupid ways, so having at the very least your money in cold storage in a place you know you could simply go to a physical office and get a new copy of your keys is thr only way to go. People who like to live on the edge would still be able to do so without living "off the grid", so it is really win win for everyone.

LOL

>Can I haz private key?

<Oh sure thing

<WTF you stole my private key

The same can happen in physical currencies.

>Can I hold on to your wallet for a moment?

<Oh sure thing

<WTF why are you running away with my wallet

Just wait until the bitcoin encryption gets cracked. Cash is the only option in the end.

Anon a cryptobank would lend cryptocoins and lose them just the same. Then the government would have to come in and "bail" them out by taking your cash and giving it to them.

If you are worried about losses then a better answer is a community fund. People pay in, trust invests coins with aim to just cover community theft and losses, you could even insist the fund only invest in non-faggot places.

Now you only have fraud to worry about instead of fucking bankers.

That's the point of crypto, faggot. You have CHOICE. While there is none in the current jewed fiat system.

>>915859

That's the same encryption that is holding up the entire banking system and half of the Internet and digital economy. If it ever got broken, Bitcoin would be the least of anybody's worries among the mayhem.

You're right, but a wallet's not even a great example, because people get scammed out of money in their bank accounts all the time. I work with a guy who had to physically drive across town and stop his mother from taking several grand in cash to a Western Union to send it to some scammer who convinced her he was her other son and was in trouble.

My grandparents trusted a shady investment advisor and lost tens of thousands of dollars.

I got suckered out of half of my income. I got married and divorced.

Cryptocurrencies or no, suckers get suckered.
