all programming languages are ranked by a partial order and all of them are bottoms (JS, Java, C, C++, Perl, Python, JS, Go, etc) except Haskell and SML. SML is just above Haskell but Haskell would be at the same level if it had strict evaluation (these are still only one level above JS and C though)

"Exceptionally Unsafe" means in reference to "exceptions". Haskell allows impure exception code despite the language generally being pure. This is frowned upon behavior. Haskell is far safer than almost every other language outside of academic settings such as theorem provers.

Functional programming is the idealistic form of computer logic, though. Look at lambda calculus.

Haskell will be a lot better once it gets dependent types.

Have you ever actually used dependent types? Idris is Haskell with dependent types. They are a real PITA.
