considering how slow it is for 3d, i don't know what spice-vdagent is doing behind the scenes for the graphics but it's doing something significant, atleast for 2d. it goes from a slideshow to unbelievably smooth for the window manager and scrolling, and it's not the cpu doing it.
i thought spice-vdagent was just for little shit like copy-paste and moving the mouse in and out of the window, for virgl it's doing way more. I don't even care about gaymes, or 3d acceleration. I just want scrolling to be smooth and moving windows around to be smooth, 2d acceleration things, and it's blowing my mind how smooth this is.

pci passthrough is the ultimate way to go. even with this virgl3d shit, i'm sure i'll run across bugs. try not using virt-manager, you don't need it in anyway, you can just make qemu scripts. virt-manager may bitch for no reason when qemu will totally allow it.
