OP, commenting on the recent Nvidia GPP program, I've heard the saying that Nvidia does this because they can, i argue that is not because they can , but because they need this. Going to smaller fabrication processes is becoming much and much more costly over the last years , if AMD were to success in the making of Infinity Fabric enhanced GPUs, Nvidia could see an end to his dominant position, just imagine if in 2019 AMD were to launch an scalable GPU architecture, it would crush Nvidia solution in terms of efficiency to the company, and would offer a better performance for the consumer, if done well enough, the good thing is that Nvidia's recent move can't stop AMD from achieving this, and would, in such case, help with a little of backfire to their company's good name.

To me this is a possible outcome in the end of 2019 and the following years, please post information on the Infinity Fabric process on GPUs and knowledge if AMD is using this or not.

Doesn't nVidia already depend on paying vidya developers to sabotage AMD performance?

Their cards are inferior in raw FP64 performance, and with how well open sores stuff originating at or under heavy involvement by AMD has been doing lately (Vulkan) along with Intel putting AMD iGPUs in their botnet it really makes one wonder what nVidia will do once the gaymen mustard race can no longer pay the bills.

They have money, sure, but their primary consumers are goodest goys buying Denuvo riddled shit.

Tegra doesn't really have the market share to support them as does their professional GPU lineup, not to mention the horrendous Lunix driver support and proprietary horseshit like Gameworks.

Nvidia owns like 99% of the GPU compute market, they can milk them even harder than the discord crowd where they "only" have like 80%.

They actually send their own developers to the game developers to gimp them on AMD though, just look at the trailer for ffxvwe, they say it was co-developed with nvidia.

Now that Raja's moved to Intel, will Radeon Technologies Group improve with Navi?

Hopefully navi is a decent product compared to Volta, if not we are ahead of dark times.
