 No.886796>>886802

Oh so it's a bit more limiting than I previous assumed. But anyways It's still a cool tool if you want to quickly colorize a picture and have it look good. I would assume for more professional looking art you would still color it yourself.

 No.886802

>>886796

I expect a lot of even professional coloring involves tedious one-level-above-paint-bucket work, just to get a base to work on. Colorize mask can do that.

It can't do anything you couldn't do, but it makes flat colors as simple to execute as they should be. Filling objects with a single color is not a complex task, aside from picking the colors.

Upgrades to 4.0 few days ago on my Arch machine, first time I actually got carried away with their new features. Some of the brushes are amazing, spend several hours ininterrupted drawing with them. Before bed, upgrade my system and go to sleep. Next day, everything else is fine, but Krita is broken. Can't save files, open files, it just crashes hard every time it has to open the file picker for any reason.

No one else online seems to be having the same problem, only some solutions for similar problems with other qt applications. None of them work for me, after hours of research.

Focusing on improving on painting features is all good, but the devs have explicitly stated that they won't add certain kinds of features just because it's not focused for drawing.

Many photo manipulation features and filters are useful for drawing, and in some cases it's not viable to go back and forth between them. Like if you want to use a liquify transform, you'd have to transfer the entire image with all layers to Gimp, and then go back to Krita, every time you want to use liquify. And yes, Krita has a "liquify" transform, but it's absolute dogshit.

There is a circle linearly moving along a ray. There's a line that extends between two points linearly interpolated on two other lines. Write a function to exactly determine the moment when said line starts and stops intersecting the circle, which may be multiple times per pass.
