This could just be plain rumor, but it seems Google won't use anything AGPL... So I guess we'd best start making everything AGPL

 No.880217>>880368

Google steals from the community so all the profits can go into some kike's bank account instead of "wasting" it on developers.

just change the GPL license and make it say "this applies to everyone but google or their affiliates who are prohibited from using it" and call it a modified GPL

It's not just a rumour, they've made public statements that they won't use AGPL.

Two problems with this.

> You don't make anything Google needs.

> If you did, they'd just clean-room your project for their own use. Even Sun wasn't able to bend them over with their JVM licensing.

Sun Oracle.

 No.880250>>880254

>>880235

this, it's largely irrelevant to 99.9999% of projects. your not going to compete with their pajeet army. if they really want something you did they would just rip the ideas from it and remake it themselves.

hopefully if you had some brilliant software idea you got a patent but that's unlikely.

 No.880253

>>880218

this won't qualify as free software

and the definition of affiliates would be a pain spot

seriously?

>seriously?

says every small developer while google and microsoft and oracle and every other kike owned billion dollar software company patents everything they do.

 No.880334>>880336

How do I patent stuff? I'm not from the US.

 No.880336

>>880334

patent's depend completely on the country and in the U.S. you'll have fun doing it without a team of kike lawyers, which is why google, microsoft, oracle, etc, do it constantly but small developers never do.

It's anuddah shoah, and to think that AGPL, a software license is what kills Google is very lulzy indeed. Good idea: from now on all software should be under either AGPL or GPL[1].

>>880217

That's why it's sad that Torvalds cucked out and stuck Linux with GPLv2 only so Jewgle and others can keep tivoizating smartphones and other devices while there is nothing we can do about it.

>>880218

>I can't let you do that!

t. Stallman

>>880233

From Google itself: https://opensource.google.com/docs/using/agpl-policy/

>>880235

<You don't make anything Google needs.

You can't know in advance that they might need what you're making and if you release it under the AGPL you give freedom lovers an advantage of NWO shills.

<If you did, they'd just clean-room your project for their own use. Even Sun wasn't able to bend them over with their JVM licensing.

Then they had still spent time and resources taking by idea instead of implementation, it would still give the free software community an edge over In-Q-Tel (the investement arm of the CIA) funded and NSA operated Jewgle[2][3].

Stallman doesn't advocate that free software licenses should be discriminating against a specific field of endeavor. This means that if your license is specifically excluding Google, he won't consider it a free software license.

>fighting fire with fire

this is not sustainable

 No.880582

>>880426

Yeah, Stallman couldn't even accept Julian Assange's suggestion to include in the free licenses that you can not use that software to kill or do harm to people, which would cripple corrupt state-agents and Cianiggers directly. He clearly wouldn't give a shit to Google.

Is license autism /tech/nology?

 No.880628

Maybe not for Windows users such as yourself.
