You can't know in advance that they might need what you're making and if you release it under the AGPL you give freedom lovers an advantage of NWO shills.

Then they had still spent time and resources taking by idea instead of implementation, it would still give the free software community an edge over In-Q-Tel (the investement arm of the CIA) funded and NSA operated Jewgle[2][3].
