What does /tech/ think of gambas? It's like VBS6 but open source, much more streamlined, stable and a bit simpler

The Borland TUI is better. There was also Visual BASIC for DOS.

1) its VB, not VBS. VBS was scripting language in Internet Explorer, made when MS tried to extend-extinguish Netscape's JAVAScript.

2) VB is retarded version of Delphi. So if you want to RAD LIKE IT'S YEAR 99, use Lazarus.

So only point I see in it is nostalgia, but why not Win95 VM with Microsoft Visual Basic 5 then?

For myself and others who were forced to learn VB in school, it's really useful to have a language and interface very similar to VB to make simple point and click shit, basic programs, launchers and simple stuff for business. For more complicated stuff I use Python but it's still handy and I don't do serious programming.
