when I had a job at fedex we would wear a computer on our wrist and a scanner on our finger. we had to hit 300+ packages per hour to hit their standard although the whole thing favors people packing light trailers instead of people packing heavier trailers since heavier packages take longer to load and fit whereas smalls literally get scanned and thrown into the mosh pit indiscriminately.
we needed to hit a few buttons to log in, and also enter our employee code and our manager code. sometimes the buttons were so worn down you had to get somebody else who knew the buttons by heart to enter your shit for you. the strap costed like 5 bucks but they said the computer itself costed like 400 or some absurd amount. I bet some coons stole some for no good reason thinking there would be a market for it (because coons will be coons).
