What you should care about:
Client software is as simple as NFS daemon.
Encrypt your shit locally without metadata.
How much time till the company decides to shut down it's servers?
Do they offer in-system backups?
Everything else is irrelevant. Be it Google, Amazon, Chinks, Mossad central server or VPS you rent in Mongolia, the presence of data will be obvious for observer, but not it's contents, because they're encrypted. Someone else's computer, remember.
