I have a legacy project that needs updating to JDK 9. In one class, it imports com.sun.tools.javac.api.JavacTool. I couldn't find out which JDK module that was moved to.

How to look up which JDK class was moved into which module?

There's some information here, but it's not really comprehensive: http://openjdk.java.net/projects/jigsaw/doc/jdk-modularization.html

Just rewrite it in Rust

There is this new thing called a search engine.

http://docs.oracle.com/javase/9/docs/api/javax/tools/JavaCompiler.html

Use the sticky next time.

I was asking about JavacTool, not JavaCompiler

Look at this and tell these are not the same thing, just with the options removed:

Maybe. But that documentation is for JDK 7, so there's module info

 No.806441>>806445

>>806440

so there's NO module info

Are you mentally challenged or Indian?

You did see that part where it says

This is NOT part of any supported API. If you write code that depends on this, you do so at your own risk. This code and its internal interfaces are subject to change or deletion without notice.

Which means they probably changed it to this at some point:

http://docs.oracle.com/javase/9/docs/api/javax/tools/JavaCompiler.html

No sympathy for people using explicitly unsupported, internal classes. Sorry anon, you'll need to rewrite it correctly.

*rewrite it correctly in rust

FTFY

Thanks, anyway. I was just asking for a friend.
