Hi /g/ was wondering if any of you knew how to set up a obfs4 Tor bridge. Either on a laptop that will host if off of a “trusted friends” IP addresses or on a VPS. The only guild I could find was this one on pastebin https://pastebin.com/09A1WgXc , although it doesn't detail how to descendant it as a private obfuscated bridge. I was also wondering if the”machine” specified in the document had to be a laptop or if it could a more discrete size such as a raspberry pi or arduino?

If you're wanting to run a bridge for others then rtfm. https://trac.torproject.org/projects/tor/wiki/doc/PluggableTransports/obfs4proxy but if you're wanting to obfuscate your source address using a friends computer then tunnel with ssh.

Also how safe is it to run your private obfuscated bridge on a VPS ? And why do you have to host it a “trusted friends” Ip address whats stopping you from just plugging it into a empty Ethernet port at work or wherever.
