So you'd be fine if you computer only contained the OS and a few programs, and all other software and your data was "in the cloud"?

I have a USB stick which is almost 12 years old and still works without issue (but is a bit small for today). As for recent USB sticks, well, in general it's becoming very hard not to get chinked and end up with a piece of crap (unless you do extensive research and/or spend a lot, and are lucky not to get a dud).

That spam is ment to encumber the Tor gateway, by 'forcing' mods on the big boards here to ban it. Probably pissraeli intel trying to direct users to their compromised (((VPN))) services, or to rawdog 8ch, where they can be tracked.

Or maybe they want everyone not to be interested in the things mentioned by OP and to hold uninformed and ignorant beliefs like >>1057867.

I found a thrift shop selling a bunch 120gb hdd for 5 usd. I got three and they seemed to formatted but I am going to check what they deleted.

 No.1058508

>>1058393

You just bought them to find some previous owners' data on them?

As for used HDDs, there's a lot of asshats who sell defective ones, and even worse, it's possible to erase SMART and there's some douchebags who sell such used (and sometimes defective) HDDs as """new""".
