Since yesterday, a question is disturbing my mind.

I'm working on a project using a M$ software, and I encountered a bug that fucks lots of functionnalities. I tried to contact M$ support, and there comes the problem.

>"Hi, I'm Sravan, a Microsoft Support Engineer, reply to my email if you have any question."

An image in his signature wasn't displaying.

>I right click and look at the source of the mail.

>Look at the <img> path

>litterally "c:\Users\sravan\Pictures\clipboard001.jpg"

And this guy is supposed to help me with a bug I can't resolve with 5 fucking years of IT studying.

I called him and he told me to do some things, it didn't even werk

Why does by tech compagnies hire incompetent people from third world countries ? They may be cheap, but they are fucking useless

If you keep asking for a supervisor, you will eventually get a h'white employee. Or at least one that has some brain activity.

>And this guy is supposed to help me with a bug I can't resolve with 5 fucking years of IT studying.

Well, you're not familiar with the internals of the software. Meanwhile dumb as he is, he does have a script written (hopefully) with input from the designers/engineers. Really you have to think of it as a "virtual assistant chatbot" type thing. A poor interface to the troubleshooting information (his script).

>Why does by tech compagnies hire incompetent people from third world countries? They may be cheap, but they are fucking useless

Tech support quality doesn't affect sales much, I'm guessing.

India is a disgusting shithole and should be nuked ASAP.

Are you using Microsoft software out of your own free choice? Probably not, so Microsoft doesn't give a shit. They have you by the balls and you are not going anywhere. They probably need customer service to meet some imposed requirements, so they go for the cheapest Pajeet they can get so they barely meet the regulations.

You'd better hope Indian tech support stays garbage, because if the software gets too easy to use, and the technical support for it becomes excellent, what use are you to the company? Most companies would love to get rid of their IT departments.

why do you call tech support? it's literally made for retards who can't figure out a reboot fixes the problem. no different than zoomers who google everything or have an app for that

>Why does by tech compagnies hire incompetent people from third world countries ?

support is a 'cost centre'. By reducing the costs of your 'cost centres' you can improve profit margins.

Indians cost less than a quarter what an American costs.

Indians are also brown, diverse, underprivileged, and on the other side of the planet, so you can have 24/hr support from people working only during the day instead of 24/hr all-American support with people working graveyard shifts.

Replacing American workers with Indians is an easy, accepted, encouraged practice. At this point, even if your customers hate it, where are they going to take their business to? Your competitors already do this. Most importantly, it's an easy practice. Even a moron can push the button and collect the prize, and pull parachute out of the business when it declines. "While I was there, profit margins rose [purely through the cutting of 'cost centres']!". And the decline isn't fast.

Finally, Indians aren't that bad. If you visit on a business trip during (their) holidays, you'll even have some jealousy pains. WTF, these people like themselves? They celebrate their own culture? Their media isn't an unceasing blare of "reee kill yourself natives of this country"? Where's the fairness in the world?

The better would be fully stable software, there will always need people like me to configure, import large set of data and all that shit.

Pajeet's would then become even more useless

>there will always need people like me

No. There will be a longer demand for people who know how to develop electronics and build the AI systems, but the tech gophers will be subsumed by the AI revolution soon.

>Alexa, import this large set of data

 No.1026791>>1026792

Yeah, all the internet janitors and other low and mid-level IT will be pretty much replaced by AI in the next ten to fifteen years and companies will love that shit since you don't have to pay a wage to an AI and it'll agree to do even the most questionable things without needing a bonus. Hope you didn't plan to work into that industry until retirement!

I can tell you, at least in my country, AI won't work. There is still a lot of people that NEED human contact because they can't even do basic shit on their computer.

You just have to tell them "Send an email to the support team" and they will be like "oh nooo, I don't like emails, I'll do a phone call". They are 100% not ready to AI.

I'm also thinking about a complex thing I'm developing, users don't even really knew what they want and it was complicated to decided what changes has to be made because there was conflicts of interest.

An AI would probably made shitty choices in this case.

Where have you been the last few years? Software gets more complicated and worse for the non-tech customer all the time yet they swallow the pill because the corps said they have to in order to stay "current" and there is often simply no alternative. I've been using an old 90s Apple computer the past few days and I'm surprised how simple word processing, spreadsheets and all that other crap is. It literally just works, compared to the Win10 abomination my ancient father uses and he is convinced he needs because it's "the newest one". (Hint: he doesn't)

If you'd pay some non-pajeet programmers to come up with a modern email solution for those old boxes you could put any office drone in front of it and they could do their job. Oh no wait they couldn't because everything is entangled in these cloud solutions and other webshit nobody needs but the big corps successfully pushed into every office. Remember, they only keep earning money if they can sell new "solutions" all the time.

Nobody cares if it's good or if it brings good results. If it's serviceable and improvements can be sold long-term, it'll do just fine.

The problem is that the software tells me "An error occured, please contact the Support" without any detail nor error code.

I tried reinstalling, changing configs and all, but I always get the error. I had no choice but to call them

Yeah I see what you mean, and I partially agree. Sad but true. I can see it with people I'm working with, they pushed me to use this software, but I'm sufficiently good to make a similar thing lighter myself, but you know, "it will be faster that way" and "more reliable".

>I can't even install this software because "An error occured, please contact our pajeet support"
