Fuck NSA but it's a cute recruitment drive tbh. You can say a lot about them but you can't say they're tone deaf.

This is the perfect open source electronics project. It's just a simple circuit, anyone can do it, a lot of people would want it, and making it yourself has a huge security implication. You could also have a basic version and an advanced version that also works independently to show as an intrusion attempt detector: Maybe one LED for power, one LED for harmless data connection attempt, one LED for suspicious data (judged by an IC using whitelisted).

You could probably even reverse engineer theirs from the photo.
