I've owned both the GPD Win 1 and the Win 2. They're both pretty good little machines. The Win 1 supports Linux Mint perfectly with a patched kernel and a few minor configurations, and the Win 2 supports Xubuntu perfectly if you install a driver for the xbox controller UI and make a few minor configurations. There is natually some loss of gaymen capability if you install GNU/Linux on it, but I got all the way through New Vegas in Wine on the Win 2 and really I don't fucking need nu-vidya if it means running Win10.
For web browsing the controls on the Win 1 are pretty good, but they're kind of awkward on the Win 2 so I ended up installing Qutebrowser to shitpost with keyboard bindings. But most of what I use the Win for is watching chinese cartoons with MPV at work, and the controls work pretty well for that even though the screen is of course tiny.
The obvious downside is that it is chinkshit. I broke my Win 1 by dropping it on a hot day and was too paranoid to send it back to the company to fix it, and of course the tiny form factor makes it impossible to troubleshoot on your own, so I just got a Win 2 instead. The Win 2 seems like a sturdier machine, and it uses an SSD instead of internal flash so that if I break this one I'll actually be able to recover my data.
I still check for updates on the Dragonbox Pyra on a regular basis though.
