The problem with that is that if the structure of the government is too much centralized and obfuscated then you'll have rampant corruption.

I don't see a social credit score happening in the west, at least in the way China has it. The first system we'll see is a Customer Lifetime Value score, but instead of being for a specific company it's for many. And even if we did have a government one, it wouldn't be that left-leaning.
