Used my Android by Google operating system
on my Google Nexus phone
to connect my Google Wifi router
to access my Google Fiber internet.
Opened the Google Chrome browser,
started to type in my .app domain registered at Google Registry,
to reach my site hosted by Google App Engine.
Didn't finish typing, but clicked on the link suggested by Google Address Bar Search,
My Google Chrome browser sent a query to Google DNS server,
got certificates issued by Google CA,
established a secure connection, after filling out the Google reCAPTCHA
I logged in my site using my Google Account,
and Google Authenticator,
my site verified that the login was made using Google APIs,
and then I wrote a post about the new .dev domain I'll be getting soon.
.dev is a secure domain for developers and technology. From tools to platforms, programming languages to blogs, .dev is a home for all the interesting things that you build. There are a lot of domain choices these days, but .dev is a space dedicated to developers. Get a .dev domain to showcase your projects, documentation, and more.
February 19, 2019 - February 28, 2019 - Early Access for .dev. This means you can pay a higher price to secure your desired .dev domain early.
February 28, 2019 onwards - General Availability for .dev registrations. This means anyone can register an available .dev domain without paying extra fees.
