So I'm trying to get a tech career and it seems like data science is the new

IMO lately the field is (d)evolving into "just throw one ~5 major ML algos at a dataset and see what comes out". So there's a lot of low hanging fruit and I think now is a good time to capitalize on normie memes about ML and break into this field. I was wondering if any other /tech/ies were interested in data mining/data science/data engineering/ml/ai type stuff and maybe we could help out and mentor each other.
From what I hear all you need is a handful of basic bitch ML projects on your github, and it's pretty easy to get a decent job. I'm trying to come up with some good project ideas now, but I'm struggling to think of something that is:
>straightforward and can be done in a few days/weeks
>doesn't require endless debugging/tweaking
>has clean data available already
>sounds relevant to normies
>classic ML problem that will play to normie memes like muh deep learning and cnn
I think I'll probably end up grabbing some Kaggle datasets and seeing which one produces some low-effort conclusions.
What are you guys up to?
