my friends got this website they have setup

https://neoytmnd.com/

i kinda need the opinion of somebody who isn't stupid,

i personally had backed out of the project because max goldberg had been so sued many times for the original ytmnd

this is the tool i had personally set up which is just a code maker so they can posts sites without all these problems

http://theotherdog.byethost13.com/index2.html

to make sites like this

https://2cc84542-3c34-4932-90b4-98f47de427d0.htmlpasta.com/ (this site is a rant pretty much summarizes my feelings about it)

Are you looking for advise or page hits? It's hard to tell because you haven't really asked anything.

First, huge nostalgia. I miss YTMND.

For the time being Big Content Companies rule the pipes. As long as they can wield the courts to their own favor we don't have much of a fighting chance. Look at the saga of The Pirate Bay as an example of aggregation that pisses off this group. Your CP problem likewise follows from this. Who is liable for hosted content? At the same time, without a central source for discovery it's very difficult for any such community to be built. Damned if you do, damned if you don't.

Ultimately the power needs to be pulled back from content companies, which leads us inevitably with copyright reform. I know that's not the answer you're hoping for, but it is the state of the Internet.

*yeah i more than suspected the site had a problem which is why i more than backed off from the project, it doesn't actually host content.. you got link files from catbox.moe or something

the site used to have this notice on it before i left

"The media on NeoYTMND are Embedded Recordings From External Social Media Sites Not Owned By Us. NeoYTMND does not host files, much rather the embemdded medias are from user submitted urls that could be from anywhere. Upon request sites will be removed yet the actual media is hosted

by 3rd party sites that we are not not affiliated. NeoYTMND administration can be contacted here admin@neoytmndmail.net"

The DMCA is not that bad. Just have a dmca@ email, and an easily found notice about it, and then take down content in response to specific legal requests. If you don't normally police your content (example: if anyone can sign up and post whatever and it shows up without some approval process), then the DMCA is written to remove some of your responsibility from your content. You even have some time to do that.

>but am EU fag

step 1. move to a free country

>but CP

"type ?this-is-child-porn into the URL of the page you're at and hit enter". unflagged posts go down immediately. when you review those after the fact, you can flag them as otherwise and they'll no longer go down to such requests. This means a measure of harassment is possible, but also that people who anticipate harassment can pre-harass themselves to get whitelisted.

>but I don't want to have any administrative responsibilities at all

>can't this shit just run itself?

instead of a website that people can post ytmnd shit to, make a website that lets people download a Wordpress plugin or something to help them put that shit on their own blog.

my friends wanted to make this big public website to basically funnel in users since ytmnd.com has gone into archive mode (max goldberg banned 90% of it's remaining users and disabled account creation, the site is gone, LOL)

i had started off the project with a code maker tool people can just copy the code where they want, i made simple bare bones site to host things and the second i made a site the autistic former user base of ytmnd pushed it insanely public to point mega milk of mewch.net actually hosted it for us (LOL)

it's just nice to hear a perspective on this whole thing by a person who might have a mind and is not completely insane

for all i know a 'neoytmnd' is full possible, yet my own logic says it's a really bad idea in the format it currently exists
