 No.999[Watch Thread][Show All Posts]

The question we all asked ourselves in private, but never said publicly:

How does he poop with a robotic lower half?

Suggestions? Ideas? Personal canon fanwank?

Artificial intestines, obviously.

If they’ve got the technology for FTL travel, cloning, cybernetic limbs, &c, &c, it only seems reasonable, you could get new organs as well -- either robotically or naturally, through cloning.

I guess this thread is good enough to ask this question…

How the hell did Maul survive the Naboo duel? If the bisection didn't kill him, then the impact with the cold metal floor DOZENS of stories below would have most certainly done so.

And don't say "DA FOURSE!" because that's bullshit and you know it. Even Jedi Masters die fast with one simple saber stab. BTW, Sith ain't really into those Force healing skill trees, fam. And with a BS excuse like the Force, I don't think you could call on it the second your body reacts to the mind numbing shock & pain of an instant 50% weight loss diet.

Also, nobody, like maybe the Jedi Council, looked for the remains after the battle? Nobody was interested in finding out who this mysterious Sith warrior was? And if they didn't find his body, they didn't do due diligence, like locate Maul's ship? Did they find out who was in the generator at the time of the duel? Not even follow a bloody trail out the back door? No?

And then Maul is found on a junk planet. A little worse for wear, but alive and able to poop again somehow. How did he get there? How did he get his creepy spider body? How is he still alive? ==HOW???==

I’m not at all familiar with Dathomirian Zabrak anatomy, but perhaps they have a very different placement of organs, different kinds of organs, &c.

Also, Luke survived falling down from a great height at Cloud City.

Zabarak's might feel pain in different ways than humans and ewoks do. Also, their brains might function in ways quite unlike human beings

Just my two cents.

They(Sith special operations droids sent by a higher ranking Sith member) could have found his top half shortly after Obi Wan and Anakin left planet Naboo after a certain period of no contact from him. Getting suspicious, the Sith Lords sent groups of Special Operations along with some rolling attack droids(and possibly another Sith warrior or two) to search his ship and his whereabouts. BTW, how can one be so sure that there are no odd ones out when it comes to the Sith not being big on force healing skills?

The writers said he survived because "da force" and "sith hate". It was the worst thing the Clone Wars did and they only did it to drum up ratings. They should've just left this guy dead. As for how he poops, they probably dont give a shit and never bothered to make an explanation. But chances are his spider half has like a tube attached to wear the other half of his colon used to be or some other dumb shit.

 No.1034>>1036

Simple. He didn't. Maul was killed. End of history.

…Maybe they should have wrote that Darth Maul was cloned from the blood and flesh of his remains. Thus, the current Maul is basically "Darth Maul clone #1".

How would the lot of you here folks have reacted had they instead wrote him as being successfully cloned?

 No.1042

>>1036

At least it would make more sense than TFU2, but if they really wanted to make Darth Maul into a respectable recurring villain then they'd have to reshoot the prequels all over again.

>he died but we cloned him

I'm getting flashbacks to the later Dune books

>later Dune books

And that is a cautious concern thing how? They could call him "Maul clone 1" or something. Better than the at best moderately tenuous "sith hatred" combined with "the dark side of the force". Oh, and are you among those that view the latter part of the Dune book series as being disappointing if not outright junk? Just asking.

Slowing a fall is one of the most basic force powers. Read the film novelizations and expanded universe stuff.

Also, the sith have a running theme of sustaining hideous injuries and surviving. It's part of their mythos.

Which leads into the next point: it's science fiction with elements of spiritualism and fantasy. Guys throw lightning from their bare hands and 900-year-old green muppets sword fight using olympic diver corkscrew maneuvres.

Maybe the Jedi council DID look for Maul's remains. Maybe they found his legs. Maybe they're cryofrozen in some vault somewhere. Maybe they were found and kept as a war memento by a cowardly gungan hiding from the battle!

Maybe Maul hid his ship on the far side of the planet, took his speeder bike to the palace and left it in the parking lot to be found and confiscated by the council. Maybe they overlooked it as just another vehicle and he was able to crawl back to it and putt along back to his ship.

Maybe it's just a movie/tv series/cartoon and you're overthinking it.

It's not junk, it's just a difficult read. The last book in particular is just a clusterfuck of every single character coming back and turn-by-turn saying "lol I have control of the galaxy" only for someone else to kill them and say "lol no I do". But I do appreciate that it's more accurate space geopolitics than blowing up a large space station three times in a row.

I have a perverse yearning for some speculative fiction freak to one day invent a plausible design for the bionic butt.

As far as the cartoon series are concerned, though, nobody poops anyway.

Because Clone Wars is better left ignored as non-canon fanfiction.

They used that plot with that "Vader vs Maul" comic, didn't they? Well, it would make more sense. Buuut that would lead us to that thing with clones and the Force. They got mad without those ysalamiris or whatever critters around their cloning tanks.

 No.1063

maul returning with cyber legs is something borrowed from old wounds.

imo, unless they make that maul's definitive death, then they will have wasted bringing him back in the first place (which they already have).

also, i always felt that both clone wars shows could blend together really well, the 2d show would show anakin pre-ahsoka and post-ahsoka, whereas the 3d show would show the ahsoka days. also also, mothafuckin durge needs to be canonized.

 No.1064

>>1062

kind of, that maul was resurrected by sith alchemy. also, as far as cloning and the force goes, the force unleashed 2 gave a more definitive answer on the subject; the success rate is incredibly slim. since the force is in everything, cloning a force-sensitive subject would naturally give the clone some sort of automatic ability, but their minds usually went apeshit upon birth. their abilities were also somewhat limited, unless the thing that was cloned was very powerful in the force (hence vader cloning starkiller). this is why i wish the shuttle crash story was still grievous' canon origin, it actually gave sifo-dyas more bread to chew on, since dooku tried using his blood and gave grievous the lightsaber of sifo-dyas.

2D Clone Wars was top tier and worked with the canon, 3D Clone Wars was hot shit that raped everything it could get its hands on, Mandolorians, Darth Maul, The Force, Boba Fett, etc. Fucking trash, tbh.

Scion was a corpse held together by pain and hate.

I recall that he was often described as being decomposing, and that all of his bones were broken, splintered, and only held together by the force.

If you recall, you don't defeat him by mortal blows, he gets up after each and every one. The only way to defeat him is to persuade him to let go of his hate and die.

I'd say Sion could have easily survived being cut in half and thrown down a generator. I think he would use the force to pull himself back together, rather than getting robot legs.

When the Death Star showed up, it was novel. No one had ever thought of that (in casual minds, not scientific theorists, Tesla for example) and so it's capabilities and power were amazing. Though to be fair, there are far easier way's to destroy a planet. BDZ is easier, cleaner too, you can argue the planet was destroyed by a stray solar flare or something. Hell, tractor beams work on mass of the tug, so they could move an ISD sized asteroid and give that planet a good "fuck you" like what happened to the Dinosaurs.

Point being that the Death Star was around because it was novel. That planet killer in Episode 7 was garbage and a cheap attempt to get viewers. It was click bait essentially. Who wants to put money that they go with another planet killer in Episode 9?

 No.1209

>>1056

Darth Sion held himself together due to sheer hatred, for himself, for his master, and for the Jedi. He survived being stabbed, having his body crushed, burns, and fall from great heights that would kill even a practiced force user.

He was never cut in half or anything though.

 No.1214

>>1208

Planet-killing super dooms are sort of a Star Wars tradition. Beyond the Death Stars and Starkiller Base there was the Sun Crusher, the World Devastators, the Ritual of Nathema, the Thought Bomb, and it goes on.
