I am raging so hard at this video right now. Everything he takes back he still has problems with and he keeps defending this shit it's ridiculous. I can't fucking believe this I don't understand how Disney can make people fucking go back on their concerns about this movie. First Mark and now Joe, who jokingly in the past made remarks how his network was now owned by Disney, it purely shows in this video.

Also on a semi-related note in the video he talks about how the movie was written by Rian and JJ had no influence on how the story was written. So your fucking telling me the new movies are written on demand and they have no plans for IX? George had EVERYTHING planned out before he wrote the final scripts for all the movies including the prequels, AND he even had plans for these sequels that went along with LEGENDS cannon. This makes me unbelievably pissed off this is just ludicrous.

Anon, you said it yourself. Disney straight up owns seven dollar Pedro and has him by the balls. Of course he's going to handwave concerns, everyone truly popular on youtube is owned by someone. Just take solace that TLJ is ultimately going to perform barely as well as RO, lost box office #1 in less than a month, made a record for 2nd week drop off, and Solo is going to make the fire rise in just 4.5 months from now. Those are objective facts that they can try to spin all they want, but it won't change anything.

Not having any plans has been the idea since the word go, since JJ just copy/pasted A New Hope's script and replaced key words and phrases. The mystery boxes were meant to carry the franchise forward, but RJ completely fucked that up in his attempt to subvert everyone's expectations. We're forgetting key factors here, they don't need to actually tell a cohesive plot across this new trilogy, since they intend to milk SW for decades to come. They just need to keep the plot trundling along for the next trilogy, and the one after that, and the one after that.
