For being a pretty minor and non-existent jedi why is the fact that her death is so all over the place when it comes to which one is canon?
No.5996
I don't know. Personally I think it's the movies hold more weight in canon than the EU stuff. They used to have levels of canon before Disney took over. Also, where there any episodes of Clone Wars where Shaak Ti ever met Ashoka? It'd be weird if two togruta's never met each other.
No.5997
Because they never showed her death. Ever

They actually showed her death like 3 times
Episode 3 deleted scenes
TFA when Starkiller murders her
2003 cartoon had her literally raped by grievous
The canon death is a vision from CG wars where Anakin kills her

Same reason there are at least 4 different stories about getting the second Death Star plans. Interesting idea/character everyone wanted to expand upon in different mediums without diligent research.

Raped, not killed. Nothing left on her but her brown cloak. Shit like that will never happen again now.

that happens in the jedi temple. iirc it's in the novelization as well.

OP's pic was a deleted scene in ROTS, which was superceded by TFU. TFU was declared canon by George, and superceded anything contradicting it. If you accept nu-canon, she now just probably died in order 66.

The death in Clone Wars is just a vision. It didn't automatically invalidate all of the Force Unleashed. The killer isn't even explicitly shown as Anakin.

The same vision also shows Mace Windu fighting Clones, but he's dead by the time Order 66 happens.

I was more talking about how it bulldozed over TFU's explanation for the origins of the Rebellion and the Firebird emblem even before Disney started on "Rebels."
No.6050
>>6049
TCW took a lot of weird liberties. They initially retconned Felucians to be a bunch of short pudgy yellow reptiles instead of the savage jungle dwellers from TFU. But nearing the end of TCW they retconned that again by claiming that the latter species still exists, but are now called Jungle Felucians. TCW was not perfect and moments like those were irksome, but it was better than what we're stuck with now, what with the state of Rebels and Disney Wars in general.

TCW was shit. It ruined Arc Trooper lore.

Didn't TFU kind of bulldoze pre-existing origins for the Rebellion as well? I thought they were a variety of rebel cells with some former Separatists that joined up to fight the Empire or something?

What happened actually:
The original idea: Shaak Ti killed raped and killed by Grievous in 2003 Clone Wars 2D
>"Nope, we're let alive"
The second idea: Shaak Ti being kidnaped, raped and then killed by Grievous to piss Obi-Wan & Anakin in Ep. III Movie
>"Nope, we're let alive"
The third idea: Shaak Ti still being raped by Grievous, but killed by Anakin in Ep. III Movie
>"Nope, we're let alive"
The last idea: Shaak Ti still alive in EU but killed by somebody at some point
>"Yeah, let's make this"
(Canon end: killed by Starkiller in Force Unleashed game)

No.6912
>>6898
They should've just gone with the first one. It really didn't make any sense that Grievous would spare her. Or if not that, then they should've had her arrive after Grievous had run off with Palpatine, not arriving just in time to be dangled from the ceiling by electrified cables or whatever.

Unless he thought it would bring her even greater shame to be spared with the disgrace of defeat and a defiled and tortured body.

Grievous doesn't even had a penis for fuck's sake.
No.6922
>>6910
it's not actual rape, she just got the domestic assault portion of it. grievous doesn't have a penis, nor is he a sexual predator. he's just concerned about the hunt. that's how he gets off tbh.
>>6898
two things: 1) she wasn't killed in genndy wars, only kidnapped along with the chancellor, hence the deleted scene in episode 3 where grievous kills her 2) force unleashed death is no longer canon as nu-canon dictates previous gayms aren't part of their lore. but in the eu that is considered her ultimate demise, yes.
No.6929

You don't need to have a penis to rape. Just stick some electric tentacles up her snatch as a form of torture or fist her with the non-deadly end of her own lightsaber.

Kind of screws up TFU2 "plot" if Dark side ending turns out to be true. If only by the very nature of two possible endings exist, and the whole "Darth Vader wasted time larping with his clone starkillers toys", but it would wrap everything up. Lightside ending of TFU2, we know Vader is gonna get out and render the whole game meaningless.
Its sad, that TFU1 was actually pretty conclusive. The sequel didn't even seem planned as a possibility despite them not shutting up about a Trilogy that never happend. Not to mention no one really wanted another game in the first place. That physic engine was completely wasted on TFU.
