Lando got his own comic miniseries and appeared in Rebels voiced by Billy Dee himself. He's definitely not a forgotten character, but I am too somewhat surprised he hasn't been slated to turn up in a movie and Billy Dee's face watermarked and plastered all across social media.

They didn't know what they had at their disposal, then. It was so damn massive you could cherry pick almost anything and build it into a polemic juggernaut. Always struck me as odd how the witches of Dathomir got to be considered Light Side good gals despite institutionalizing brutal slavery for all of their men. In fact, the Nightsisters, villains, were the first to treat men as equals until George Lucas decided he wanted Dathomir for Clone Wars but only wanted the Nightsisters. There was a species with a third gender neither male more female. Hell, Lucas himself didn't explicitly make the Empire a racist institution; that was all EU authors going for cheap villain points.
